Kelley R. Collins, DVM
Chief Executive Officer
President, Veterinary Imaging Centers, LP

Dr. Kelley Collins received his BAAS degree from the University of Delaware, and his doctorate in veterinary medicine from G. Araneta University in Manila, Philippines and the University of Georgia. After veterinary school, Dr. Collins served as an associate veterinarian in both small and mixed animal practices. He also owned and operated a small animal practice and a feline-exclusive practice. In 1999, Dr. Collins was introduced to clinical veterinary MRI by Dr. Pat Gavin, DACVR/RO at Washington State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. In 2000, Dr. Collins formed Veterinary Imaging Centers, LP in Philadelphia. Since that time, VIC has been providing the only private out-patient veterinary MRI services in the region. In 2005, Dr. Collins formed Veterinary Imaging Centers of Canada, which operates within a 24/7 specialty and emergency facility in Ontario.
Dr. Collins recently completed an MRI fellowship and employs the latest imaging equipment and protocols to reduce scan and anesthesia time for patients while optimizing image quality.

Michael J. Collins
Chief Financial Officer

Michael Collins is a graduate of Malvern Preparatory School in Malvern, Pennsylvania and the University of Rhode Island. Mr. Collins has been an entrepreneur in the Philadelphia market for over 34 years. His efforts have focused primarily upon the planning, sales, marketing and sponsorship of corporate development and investment opportunities in a number of different industries. Mr. Collins has built an effective distribution system for his programs, networking with representatives across the United States. In addition to working for a number of large financial services companies, he has founded a series of businesses including Collins Associates, Inc. and Triad Financial Services, LLC.
Mr. Collins’ business development experience allows him to create sound financial models and business plans for new imaging centers.

Kristen A. Hoffman
Director of Operations
Veterinary Practice Manager, Veterinary Imaging Centers, LP

Kristen Hoffman received her BS degree in Animal Science and Conservation from Delaware Valley College, with a special focus on veterinary business management and marketing. Ms. Hoffman managed a progressive private practice for 4 years before serving as a District Manager in corporate veterinary practice management. In that role, she managed five small animal practices in the Pennsylvania region and orchestrated the company’s first start-up practice. In 2006, Ms. Hoffman took the position of Practice Manager at Veterinary Imaging Centers, and has grown referral volume from generalists by 50%. She currently serves as the Vice President for the Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Practice Association, contributes articles to veterinary management journals, and is preparing for her CVPM through the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association.
Ms. Hoffman works closely with veterinary staff to develop the use of imaging, cultivate referral relationships, and ensure patient care through innovative marketing and practice management tools.

Patrick R. Gavin, DVM, PhD, DACVR/RO
Radiology Consultant

Dr. Gavin received his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Washington State University. After veterinary school, he worked in the US Army Veterinary Corps, several emergency practices, and started his own private practice before returning to school to receive his PhD in Radiology and Radiation Biology. He became a board-certified veterinary radiologist in 1981, and was a founding member of veterinary radiation oncology in 1994. Dr. Gavin joined the faculty of Washington State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 1979, where he remains a Professor of Radiology with a reduced appointment. In 2002, Dr. Gavin formed MR Vets, Inc., a service which provides diagnostic services to veterinary imaging centers. Dr. Gavin’s services include imaging protocol development, case interpretation, report generation and MRI fellowship training.
